Bethany Chuah

Counsellor

Bethany holds a Master of Counselling from Australia. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, she has spent the past 15 years living across China, the U.S., and Singapore—an international journey that deeply informs her inclusive and compassionate therapeutic approach.

Bethany is passionate about supporting individuals through times of stress, change, and personal growth. She works with clients of all ages—from teenagers to seniors—creating a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship where each person feels heard, valued, and supported.

Her experience as a Helpline Counsellor with the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) has equipped her to sensitively support clients navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and loss, workplace or family conflict, LGBTQIA+ issues, and the mental health impact of chronic illness.

With over a decade of prior experience in Healthcare Communications, Bethany brings a relational lens to her work. She tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. Her goal is to help clients cultivate clarity, self-acceptance, and deeper understanding—within themselves and in their relationships with others.

Outside the therapy room, Bethany enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures and cuisines, and going on adventures with her rescue dog, Haroo.
