Provisional Psychologist
Kenny is currently pursuing his Master of Psychology (Clinical) in Singapore, and is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Joel Yang during his placement here at Mind What Matters.
Before joining the team, Kenny worked in the public service sector with both adult and youth offenders, some of whom presented with mental health difficulties. His role involved delivering both group based and individual interventions, as well as conducting risk assessments. Through his work with people from diverse backgrounds, Kenny has developed a strong belief in creating a therapeutic space grounded in empathy, warmth, and non-judgement, one where clients feel safe to share and make sense of their thoughts and feelings. In his practice, Kenny utilises various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Kenny is fluent in English and conversational in Mandarin.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, cycling, watching TV shows and travelling.
