Counsellor
Alvin is a Singapore-based counsellor with over six years of post-graduate experience working with adults across a range of life challenges. He holds a Master of Counselling from Singapore and is a Registered Counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
Alvin specialises in stress and burnout, anxiety, relationships, and self-confidence. He works with working adults and young professionals who are often managing well on the surface but carrying more than they let on.
In his practice, Alvin takes an integrative approach to trauma-informed care, drawing on modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). He weaves these frameworks together with an understanding of how the nervous system shapes emotion and behaviour, helping clients make sense of not just what they are experiencing, but why.
Alvin believes that lasting change comes from insight, not just coping strategies. Clients can expect a warm, grounded space where they feel genuinely heard and where the work goes beyond surface-level symptom relief.
Outside the therapy room, Alvin finds restoration in hiking and being in nature. He brings that same spirit of slowing down and paying attention into how he works.
