Janelle completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Psychology in Singapore and is currently pursuing her Master of Psychology (Clinical). She is under the clinical supervision of Dr. Joel Yang during her placement here at Mind what Matters.

Prior to her clinical training, Janelle worked as a case manager at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where she supported adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. These experiences have shaped her belief that therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, understood, and respected. Janelle places strong emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship and approaches each client with curiosity, openness, and compassion. She strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. 

Janelle’s practice is informed by her training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Outside of work, Janelle enjoys karaoke, watching dramas, running, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
