Associate Counsellor
Melissa recently completed her Master of Counselling in Singapore.
Prior to her role as an Associate Counsellor, Melissa worked in a corporate environment for the past decade and subsequently became a Stay-At-Home Mum. This allowed her to understand and empathise with the challenges and demands of balancing between working and parenting.
Melissa believes that everyone has in them the strength, resources and ability to work on their own problems. Through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, she adopts a collaborative approach to help her clients work towards understanding themselves and reaching their goals, in a warm and safe space.
Melissa also has a keen interest in the topic of attachment, especially the impact that attachment experiences during childhood have on adulthood and how to mitigate such effects of early attachment experiences. This drives her passion to support parents in raising secured children and she is a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator.
In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
