Lin Yi Mian

Provisional Counsellor

Yimian is a counsellor-in-training with a grounded, compassionate, and practical approach to supporting his clients through life’s challenges. He holds a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science, a Graduate Certificate in Counselling and is currently pursuing his Master in Counselling. He has a strong foundation in Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and the Gottman Method. His therapeutic approach blends structure with emotional attunement, helping clients make sense of their experiences, and building the practical skills to move forward in life.

Before pursuing counselling, Yimian has been practicing as a personal trainer, a role that shaped his belief that mental and emotional well-being is as important as physical strength. His experience in coaching, client motivation, and behavioural change shapes his counselling work, allowing him to connect deeply with individuals navigating stress, self-doubt, relational difficulties, and personal transitions.

Yimian is committed to creating a safe space for his clients to speak freely without fear of judgement. He works collaboratively with his clients, empowering them to bridge the gap between where they are and where they hope to be.
